Zika virus which has always know to be caused by bites from tropical mosquitoes has taken another shape after the 4 Zika cases surfaced in Florida. More than 1,650 Zika infections have been reported in the United states but the four new cases in Florida would be the first not linked to travel outside the united states mainland which is a tropical area.Therefore there is a tendency that these 4 new cases of Zika virus infection must have been from the bites of local mosquitoes in Miami areas where lady and three men resides. Rick Scott the 45th Governor of Florida made a conclusion in a tweet here saying that the 4 new cases of Zika infection are all caused by bites from local mosquitoes.
This development has called for stringent measures to wipe mosquitoes total from the face of the earth as it is not know if it is bites from tropical mosquitoes or those from local. In my own little way of ensuring that we all stay safe from Zika virus especially the pregnant women whom this virus affects the most,tips on how how to avoid mosquito bites is as follows:

Avoid mosquitoes,sleep where there are no mosquitoes probably under the new insecticidal net.
Destroy Mosquitoes and their young by clearing stagnant water around you area.drain or put oil in the pool.
Garlic has a very pungent odor, which many people do not like. Even mosquitoes abhor its smell. Crush a few cloves of garlic and boil the crushed garlic in water for some time. Then pour mixture in a spray bottle and squirt it around the room. This remedy will kill the mosquitoes.

Place Camphor at strategic places of your house,this repels mosquitoes.

Zika virus is very mild in some individuals but very deadly in pregnancy as the virus cause serious damage to the brain of the unborn child microcephaly) therefore we all have a lot of work to do so as to ensure mosquitoes be it tropical or local is wiped out from the face of the earth.least i forget do be reminded that Zika virus is also transmitted through sexual intercourse,play safe.
